New Patient FAQs
We understand you may have questions about your first visit with us. Here are answers to our most frequently asked questions for your convenience.
Do you accept my dental insurance?
How much will I owe at my dental appointments?
Our friendly team will estimate your insurance coverage at each visit and ask you to pay the difference each time. Please note that this is an ESTIMATE only. If there is an additional balance due after the insurance claim is paid we will bill you.
We accept cash, check, debit, all major credit cards, HSAs and Flex Spending accounts.
Do you offer payment plan options to make my treatment more affordable?
Yes! We believe that great dental care should be accessible to everyone. We are pleased to offer our patients the CareCredit card, the nation’s leading patient payment program. CareCredit lets you begin treatment immediately, then pay for it over time with low monthly payments that are easily adaptable to your monthly budget. There are no upfront costs, annual fees or prepayment penalties.
Also, we will usually accommodate in-office payment plan arrangements with a credit card on file to make your care more affordable over an agreed-upon timeframe.
I don’t have insurance. Do you offer an affordable in-house discount plan?
Yes, we offer the TPD Care Plan – a simple-to-use annual, reduced-fee plan that makes it possible for non-insured patients to receive quality dental services at substantially reduced fees. It includes a FREE Oral-B electric toothbrush! We’ll make it more affordable so that you don’t have to go without care.
Do you accept Medicaid or Hoosier Healthwise?
Yes we do. As a provider of affordable dental care, we always ensure that no patient is rejected. Our team members will assist you with any questions.

It’s been a long time since my last appointment and I am anxious and embarrassed. What will my first visit be like?
We’re experts at alleviating anxiety and embarrassment. We never judge. Never. We’re proud that you made the first step toward improving your dental health and will take the time to answer all your questions and treat you with compassion. We understand life happens and traumatic past experiences are difficult to overcome. Check out the reviews of hundreds of our patients who have overcome their fears with our help. We’ll help you through it too!
Can I still come in for treatment if I’m pregnant?
Yes, taking care of your teeth and gums is good for you and your developing baby. We can perform a visual exam and delay x-rays until your baby is born. Pregnant women are more susceptible to gum disease so we recommend a good dental cleaning. In case of a dental emergency, we can take necessary x-rays using shielding safeguards and perform essential treatment to get you out of pain. This is generally safest when performed during your second trimester. Elective dental work should be postponed until after your delivery.
How long will my first appointment be? Will x-rays be required and will I receive a cleaning?
Your first visit with us will usually take 70-90 minutes, depending on your needs. Unless you are pregnant, we recommend dental x-rays so that we can detect cavities and other problems that occur between and within teeth and under the gums. X-rays allow dentists to detect disease and other conditions much sooner than with the clinical exam alone. We value your time – we will usually perform a cleaning for you, in the absence of gum disease, on your first visit. If it is not possible, our patient coordinators will let you know prior to your appointment.
